North Rocks Public School provides quality education to its students in eighteen classes for mainstream children. Additionally, the school has two classes for gifted students (OC classes) and a special education class for moderately intellectually disabled students. These classes are available through selective placement procedures only. Strong parent support for the school enables a wide cultural program to be offered in the school's excellent physical facilities. Our school's purpose is to stimulate and encourage learning. Our school aims to: provide a safe and happy learning environment that is attractive and stimulating; promote the skills of literacy and numeracy; use appropriate technology and seek adaptive and creative solutions; encourage co-operation, caring and respect; expect students to accept increasing responsibility for their own learning and behaviour; and function as part of the larger community, involving parents and community members in a team effort.
