Cross Road Public School opened in 1903. Its name was changed to Matraville Public School in 1904. The school has provided continued educational, cultural and welfare needs for students within its community. Matraville Public School offers your child:

Overall:

This school has in recent years seems to have improved it's overall facilities to actually have safe equipment and buildings for it's students.

I currently have a young brother enrolled into the school and he is now past year 2 but still has trouble even writing his name and writing numbers, for a school which I had attended when I was younger where my problems being bullied were ignored countlessly throughout the 7 years as "oh they are just playing" not helping a student clearly needing help with basic writing is horrible.

A school as a last resort for those who either think over priced fees for poor service or simply cannot afford to travel to the other schools in it's area which have overall shown better results in it's students.
