Lismore Public School has been established for 58 years on its current site and prides itself on a long tradition of providing quality education for all children. The key focus of the school is providing an enriching curriculum which caters for all children socially, emotionally and academically. The school has an emphasis on sport, fitness, music and academic skills. Enrolment is drawn from the local residential and business areas of Lismore as well as nearby rural areas. The school provides for children with special needs from the surrounding district with classes for Language Disordered, Hearing Impaired, Behaviour Disordered and Early Intervention. A number of Itinerant Support teachers are based at the school.
