| Lawrence Public school is a medium sized country primary school. It services a diverse community made up of professional fishermen, farmers and people who commute to the larger centre of Grafton. The school is a positive focus for the community and plays an active part in town life. The school is committed to their students having every opportunity to meet their individual potential and to having the relevant resources to support this. The school is dedicated to students becoming, not only literate and numerate, but also young Australians who can make a difference/contribution to our society. This is achieved through the effective working of the dedicated teaching staff and the very positive contributions made by a wide range of parents and community members. There is a strong focus on the basic skills of Literacy and Numeracy and also traditional values. Students are challenged, as individuals, to develop a desire to learn and their needs are met through a wide range of programs. | ||||
