Kangaloon Public School prides itself on providing quality education to students whose parents prefer their children to attend a small school located in a quiet country environment. The school has experienced a steady increase in enrolments over the past six years. Since 1998 Kangaloon has been a PP5 (5A) school with two full time teaching staff members and enrolments in excess of 27. Our school motto is "strive to do your best". To achieve this outcome the school strives to develop each student socially, culturally and educationally with emphasis on the basic skills and co-operative learning in the social subjects. Student welfare is paramount in all school planning. The local Kangaloon school community is made up of farming people and professional people whose preference is to live a country lifestyle. Out of zone students from Bowral and Robertson also attend. Most of the students commute to school by bus. Year 6 students progress to secondary school at Moss Vale or Bowral.
