Glossodia Public School is situated in semirural surroundings in the Hawkesbury District to the northwest of Sydney. Since movement to the present site in 1990 the school has aimed to develop an overall environment which is attractive, safe and happy - which instils educational confidence. Glossodia prides itself on the extraordinary amount of community involvement in the school. This involvement not only includes the educational sphere, but the real feeling of community ownership as well - something which has proved to be of value on a number of occasions. In most recent years the cultural development of the school has reached standards of excellence in verse speaking - both in choirs and in individual presentation - debating and public speaking.
