| Girraween Public School provides Kindergarten to Year 6 students with a quality education in a supportive environment where students can develop a sense of achievement and feel confident that their efforts will be encouraged and recognised. Individual Education Programs are provided for students with a mild or moderate intellectual disability. Rights and responsibilities are integral to the school's culture. Respect for others, pride in school uniform and courtesy are attributes fostered throughout the school. Staff have high expectations of students and this is reflected in student attitude and behaviour. Personal best is encouraged in academic, cultural, social and sporting activities. School programs are strengthened by a whole school approach to education, discipline, student welfare, assessment and reporting practices, technology and the use of computer skills in the key learning areas. The teaching and learning programs respond to a wide range of student abilities, backgrounds and needs. The integration, with appropriate support, of students with identified learning difficulties is a priority. An initiative this year has been the introduction of the Senior School organisation to enhance the Year 5 and 6 students' learning opportunities. The school, its staff and the achievements of its students are valued highly by parents and the wider community. | ||||

| Girraween is in the process of becoming wheelchair friendly. Also a devoted P&C committee that has helped supply interactive whiteboards in 90% of classrooms, all classrooms have air conditioning, every room has new computers. Girraween teaching and axillary staff always go above and beyond their jobs to assist students and family's. | We do not haver a school hall as yet. BUT we have just been told that we have approval for a school hall and construction should commence this year. | Fantastic school, dedicated staff high standard of learning and student support for kids from may different backgrounds | ||

| Nothing that I am happy of. | Teachers are not supportive. There is lot of bullying in the school. | You need to take time before considering the school. | ||
