Eugowra Public School serves the town of Eugowra (population 600) and surrounding district and has an enrolment of 72 students. Its Mission Statement is "Encouraging Effort to Develop Maximum Potential" and all policies and practices of the school are based upon having each student attain excellence. At the end of Primary schooling students have the option of travelling to Forbes or Canowindra secondary schools as bus travel is available to both centres. Through its teaching and learning programmes the school fosters academic, cultural and sporting achievement and seeks support for its students from the wider community.
Through specially developed programmes it is expected that students who leave Year 6 are ready to commence High School. Academically needy students are provided with support each year and their progress is monitored regularly. The school employs a full-time teachers aid and an annual allocation of support time is provided to assist students experiencing difficulties. The Parents and Citizen's Association supports the needs of students through the provision of resources and assistance on special occasions.
