Our school serves a rapidly growing residential area west of Newcastle. Edgeworth is part of the North Lakes Urban Development Area. In recent years this has meant an increase in both total enrolment and student mobility rates. The school's Belief Statement, formulated by students, parents and teachers establishes the framework for the way we seek to achieve our vision of a Quality School: We believe Edgeworth Public School should be a peaceful place where all people learn, do their best, have fun and are proud of their achievements. A place where everyone feels safe because kindness and respect are shown to all. It is our intention that everything happening at the school should be aligned with this belief statement. Because our vision is to be a Quality School we also seek to develop a culture of continuous improvement.

| great playgrounds approachable teachers strong bullying program extra-curricular activities smart-board in the library computer access for children enforcement of uniforms | parking to pick up children | Edgeworth has a strong teacher unity and they seem to interact really well, they laugh alot anyway. You will often see teachers interacting with children on the playground and generally in a happy mood. I think that if the teachers are happy then the children must be happy as well. Its a good indicator! | ||
