Casino Primary School is located on the North Coast of NSW in an urban based municipality that is entirely surrounded by a rural shire. The school is situated within 500 metres of the town centre, within easy walking distance to the swimming pool, parks, the town library, sporting fields and the Heritage Society museum. The school was established in 1861. Over 60% of students travel to the school by public transport and only 15% are within walking distance of the school. In addition to regular classes Casino Primary School has a Distance Education Centre, Support Unit and an Aboriginal Preschool.
