Captains Flat is a small school set in a village in the ranges south east of Canberra. There are two teachers and the school is divided into composite ages and stages. The school is well resourced and has a focus on academic and social progress. We have an STLA and Library teacher to supplement class programs and provide support for all students.

The purpose of this school is to provide and deliver quality teaching/learning programs focusing on literacy and numeracy. We aim to engender a safe and positive learning environment where all students can achieve their best.

The school aims to provide a positive and stimulating learning environment, maximise the benifits of small classes and greater teacher involvement, closely monitor student performance and report to parents and the community with clarity and credibility.
