Canley Heights Public School is situated on the Cumberland Highway south-west of Fairfield in a residential area that is changing from older homes on large blocks to medium density housing. Its community is a mixture of older families that have resided here for generations middle European migrants who have settled in the area and South-Eastern Asian migrants who are moving from flat/unit dwellings to more permanent residences. The school has a committed learning community which holds great expectations for its children many of whom progress from little or no English in Kindergarten to competent students when leaving Year Six.
