The school is a small school in the Lower Macleay Valley. Bellimbopinni Public School is situated on the Pacific Highway approximately twelve kilometres north of Kempsey. The students are drawn from an area extending some twenty kilometres along the Pacific Highway and trunk roads along this section. The majority (87%) of students travel to and from school by bus. The students generally live on small rural holdings that are used to supplement wage earnings.
