Ashfield offers quality programs in all key learning areas [KLAs] in an harmonious multicultural setting. In 2000, literacy, numeracy, the arts and student welfare were given a major focus. A two year plan to position the school as a community resource with high levels of parent and community involvement commenced this year. The school is a blend of heritage and modern buildings located adjacent to the Ashfield shopping precinct. The school has a private long day care facility on site and provides before and after school care, through a private operator. With 89.5% of students being from non English speaking backgrounds, on-going new arrivals to Australia and high student mobility the school's purpose is to establish positive relationships, learning skills, attitudes and values and prepare children to meet the challenges of the future.
