OSHC is open to all children between the ages of 4 and 14 years.
Children attending preschool can be cared for, though this number is limited to 4 children under 5 years in any 1 OSHC session.
Families are expected to book their children in to each O.S.H.C. session, which can be booked on a:

Permanent basis - children attend the same sessions on the same day/s each week.
Casual basis - children attend different sessions on different days when care is required.
Emergency basis - children attend a session in the case of a family emergency.

Families must cancel any booked care.
The session fee will be charged if notice of cancellation is not given.
Child Care Benefit is available to all families and will reduce fees.
Some families may be eligible for additional financial support.
Hours of operation are:

Before School care: 7.30am - 9.00am
After School Care: 3.00pm - 6.15pm
Early Closure days: 2.15pm - 6.15pm
Pupil free/School Closure days: 7.30am - 6.15pm

Overall:

Kerry is very good at looking after the children and prividing the right facillities

she needs to ask the children what they want for afternoon tea and not just make it herself.

Ridghaven is very happy and lucky to have a person like her and her staff at this school!

Overall:

Staff always know where children are playing, when in seperate group time. Children are catered for with different activities planned well in advance.

Kerry will be missed now on Maternity leave, but has left with very capable hands in charge until she returns. Good luck to all. Not that you will need it.

Very lucky to have loyal regular staff that want to be there. All staff enjoy encouraging the children to participate in the activities on offer for the day.

Overall:

There are many different activites to entertain the children. The flexabilty is good also. Excellent facilities - you hear about some OSCH's running out of one tiny room and the kids are stuck there all day during vacation care.

somedays afternoon tea is something fairly substantial and other days afternoon tea does not touch the sides of those little tummies. I know we all need holidays but I think that re-opening again on 12/1/08 is leaving it a little late - having to find alternative care for children is awkward

I really can't say enough good things about Ridgehaven OSCH - I would highly recommend it and do not feel a guilt twinge in the least when I leave my children there because I know that they are in good hands
